I have purely started Natural Farming on the basic pattern of four principles: one for most is mulching green and dry organic matters, second no tilling, third to maintain vapsa coined later by Shree Subhash Palekar in India to maintain air and moisture underneath the coverage by moderate mulching and forth one is doing nothing means, no spending on unnecessary labour. Later I experimented on cow dung proposed by Palekar, which is doubly tedious, first you have to care for the cows and then the preparation of Jiwamrit spraying, broadcasting etc. enhanced the laborious part for a lonely farmer to perform. His methods slightly suited to vegetable growers, not to cereals Agricultural and Horticulture crops. Revered Masanobu’s methods in his One Straw Revolution suits Universally as most appropriate to individual farmer to pursue it quite easily. Mulching of organic matter is much better a sufficient manure, covering  airstreams and retaining required moisture in the soil, naturally reducing all laborious work of the farmer. So single application of mulching covers all the four pillars of natural farming by itself.

मैंने चार सिद्धांतों के मूल पैटर्न पर पूरी तरह से प्राकृतिक खेती शुरू की है: एक हरे और सूखे कार्बनिक मैटर को मल्चिंग कर रहा है, दूसरा नो टिलिंग, तीसरा भारत में श्री सुभाष पालेकर द्वारा बाद में बनाए गए वाप्सा को बनाए रखने के लिए कवरेज के तहत हवा और नमी को बनाए रखने के लिए। मध्यम मल्चिंग और आगे कोई कुछ नहीं कर रहा है, अनावश्यक श्रम पर कोई खर्च नहीं कर रहा है। बाद में मैंने पालेकर द्वारा प्रस्तावित गाय के गोबर पर प्रयोग किया, जो दोगुना थकाऊ है, पहले आपको गायों की देखभाल करनी होगी और फिर जीवामृत छिड़काव, प्रसारण आदि की तैयारी करना होगा। एक अकेले किसान के प्रदर्शन के लिए श्रमसाध्य हिस्सा बढ़ गया। उनके तरीके सब्जी उत्पादकों के लिए थोड़े अनुकूल थे, अनाज के लिए नहीं कृषि और बागवानी फसलों के लिए। अपनी वन स्ट्रॉ रेवोल्यूशन में श्रद्धेय मासानोबू के तरीके सार्वभौमिक रूप से उपयुक्त हैं जो व्यक्तिगत किसान के लिए इसे आसानी से आगे बढ़ाने के लिए सबसे उपयुक्त हैं। कार्बनिक पदार्थों की मल्चिंग एक पर्याप्त खाद है, जो हवा की धाराओं को कवर करती है और मिट्टी में आवश्यक नमी बनाए रखती है, स्वाभाविक रूप से किसान के सभी श्रमसाध्य कार्यों को कम करती है। इसलिए मल्चिंग के एकल प्रयोग से प्राकृतिक खेती के सभी चार स्तंभ अपने आप में समा जाते हैं।
