God made me what I am today. That God has two parts, Nature and Jiva. He made me what I am today according to my karma. Karma too big word – I am reaping fruits of my action and will reap fruits of my action in future as well. My actions are guided by my nature and it is Nature alone who/which is responsible for giving fruits of my action.  Best is when God says you should listen to your Jiva (atma) and then he say you can only listen to your Atma if you have purified your heart. So, what do I do? Here comes his answer: Guide to action is in scriptures. Problem solved. Not yet, as I don’t know what is the real meaning of the word ‘Scripture’? Rather, I don’t know what he meant by Scripture. If I take Scripture to mean present law of land, I will be comfortable to some extent but -not yet sure- whether he, sitting in my heart, will regard my action as bad or good karma. This takes me back to Chapter 16, where he says that there are mainly two kind of humans in this world, namely: divine and demon. I am again confused as I do not know whether I am born with divine or demon properites. Going by Chapter 16, I sometime feel that 90% of us (population) are born with demonic qualities. But, that cannot be the case.

Finally the answer is in Geeta, when he says that you have to use your Intellect to differentiate between the right and wrong action. Just be watchful to these three enemies: lust, anger and greed and you will know whether your action is right or wrong. However, it is easier said than done.

Only satisfaction I draw in being confused is that even Arjun was confused.
