I am quite excited to write about this topic as this is hot bun nowadays….a verse which almost everybody uses in their day to day life and think that they are completely aware of this term and doing their best to be on this path.
My say on Good Karma or Bad Karma should not really matter to anyone because I am not a yogi or a life coach or a motivational speaker…however I am sure as a person have experienced life at dark times and evolved in those times and realized that it is your imprints on those phases of life which will further decide your steps into the zone, wherein you will be stepping up or down in life.
If I go according to Wikipedia or Google, A karma is explained as karma is the destiny that you earn through your actions and behavior. When you behave kindly, this is an example of a situation where you earn good karma that will result in good things happening to you in the future.
Though contrary there must be a question running into your mind that “I am the one who always does good to all others, however no good in return comes to me”
Again …Let’s read the definition of KARMA:- Now after reading, juggle the words and think….So now Karma is …..Defining your destiny through good actions and behaviors…So in every way WORKING ON YOURSELF….NOT ON OTHERS….and here it is where we can succeed.
We in this world living and experiencing all the best luxuries of the world realize strongly that if I have taken a tiny little good step forward for anyone in the world than the other person should climb the mountain for me, which according to me is the wrong kind of behavior and wrong kind of expectation.
Let me quote this with one of my favorite quote from Bhagwad Gita:
No one who does good work will ever come to an end. Either here or the world to come.
—- Bhagwad Gita
This quote here means that those who undoubtedly working towards the betterment of their own self and constantly growing themselves in view of physical, mental and emotional health will never ever be forgotten or forgone. This means that know yourself and understand that it’s important to work on yourself first and proceeds towards the betterment of the people and world around us. Money, Fame, and Success is just a matter of time….it can surpass or it can stay, completely depending on the outlook you have it for these materialistic things.
One can grow completely by just simply applying our very own OM SWAMI Ji’s website’s quote” Discover your own truth.” I am thankful to my little sister who introduced me to the very first video of Om Swami Ji. The way he speaks about life and karma is divine but the sad part of life is that we want to change other people without knowing and understanding the famous quote by Kabir Ji:
Bura jo dekhan main chalya…buran na milya koi…jo dil khojan apan….mujhse buran na koi
Look within your Karma….improve them…Don’t be a Judge on anyone…to anybody’s situation….You have got no right about this….Improve your life(if you have the courage) Improve yourself NOT others.
I read in Ashtavakra Gita( a dialogue between the sage Ashtavakra and Janak, king of Mithila) about taking care of your inner self first, It says:
The Gita insists on the complete unreality of the external world and absolute oneness of existence.
Some of its verses says:
You are really unbound and action-less, self-illuminating and spotless already. The cause of your bondage is that you are still resorting to stilling the mind. (I.15)
You are unconditioned and changeless, formless and immovable, unfathomable awareness, imperturbable- such consciousness is un-clinging. (I.17)
You are not bound by anything. What does a pure person like you need to renounce? Putting the complex organism to rest, you can go to your rest. (V.1)
The world is unreal and absolutely artificial….everything will fade away when you will be on your death bed, so before it, realize true self.
Realizing your true self or discovering your own truth, nowhere leads you to become sanyasi or living in solitude. It just focuses more on the growth…Be it you… Or the surroundings near you.
Make a habit of doing things persistently and without expecting a good behavior in return.
Always remember, you are good that you can only show in your karma….others are good or not, this they will show in their karma. So never ever leave signs of immaturity and irresponsibility. Rather inspire people around you to be unique and adaptive to change.
And here is my version of the definition to Good Karma
The meaning of Karma is in the intention. The intention behind the action is what matters. Those who are motivated only by the desire for the fruits of action are miserable, for they are constantly anxious about the results of what they do.
At last, the Good Karma only works when you work on yourself, leaving aside ego, envy, revenge….living a life of contentment and doing your assigned work passionately.
