Beauty sweet, the ever blushing bride

Often referred to a fragile flower am I-

But scoff my red lips, for I know

I’m none other than a petal shy-

A sprout smiled upon in spring,

Sweet to stare at- a pretty thing

But, even if I was no more,

To them, the flower would remain as before.

A/N: Okay, admittedly, it feels really good to click the ‘Publish’ button after the hiatus of a few months – tenth standard has been more demanding than I thought it’d be, (I haven’t just not been posting, I haven’t written much at all. Barely anything.) as most things are- expectations are seldom fulfilled and time seldom felt as it passes by. A week of not posting changed to a month, and then half an year altogether! I didn’t mean to take such a long break, and I thoroughly apologise for that. With my poor Math skills, I can barely count the amazing posts I must’ve missed and the comments I should’ve dropped, the birthdays I’ve missed too. 🙁

I wish I could say from now on I’ll engage more with the community, but I have exams in a week, and homework keeps me quite occupied otherwise. So, from the bottom of my heart, if I ever delay replying to your gracious, incredible comments or can’t keep up with your writing, I truly apologise. I’ve really missed all of you and the extreme kindness on this platform, but my lack of time and motivation made me reluctant to post, since it should be only fair that I acknowledge and appreciate your presence and time.

But, to all the people who’ve motivated me to keep posting here, thank you so much. I’ll try to be more regular now. I really will.

And of course, thank you so much for the moments spent reading this not-one-of-my-best-works, I truly appreciate it. Lots of love to each of one of you. Jai Sri Hari!

P.S: I wrote this at school during my break.
