Jai Shri Hari Swami ji and Lovely members,

This is part 3 of Navdurga  Sahdana. While i don’t know the meaning of mantra but i found Mudra’s and its meaning in Ancient Science of Mantra book and Sadhana App Linkdin profile.

Invoking the Deity

Step 24: Supplication

Mantra: Atam sanstham majam shudham twamaham parmeshwarim aranyamev bhavyan sham mudtav awahmayham deveshi bhakti sulbhe pariwar samanvite yavatvam pujyashyami tav devi iha vasse

Mudra(Avahani) – Place your thumb at the root of your little fingers and join your hands together.

Mudra Meaning: You recognize that this energy exists and is dear to you and you want to connect with your individual energy.

Now, It’s the divinity and you, as you chant your prayers.

Step 27: Immobilization

Om bhur bhuv swah shri jagadambaye iha sanidehi agya tav deveshi kripam budhe gunaam budhe atamnandey triptam twam sarvbandhi maheshwari

Mudra(Sannirodhini) – tuck in your thumbs in their respective fists and turn these fists overs

Mudra Meaning: This is done to gratefully address your deity. Your deity has arrived in your world, express your happiness at this.

Step 28: Contouring:

Mantra: Om bhur bhuv swah shri jagadambaye iha sanirodhya agyanad durumanstatva va kalyan sadhansyacha yat purnam bathekrityam tdatya abhimukho bhavah

Step 29: Veiling

Mantra: Om bhur bhuv swah shri jagadambaye iha samukho bhavah abhakvang manashchakshuh shrotrduratidighte swatejah panchrenashu vyashchito bhav sarvatah

Mudra(Avgunthana) – Make a fist with your left hand while keeping the left index finger out and pointing it at the ground and turning the index finger anti clockwise

Mudra Meaning:  Now that you are infused with the energy of your deity, you want to cover it so you may do your sadhana and build up this energy in you.

Talking about your sadhana wastes your energy and in mantra science its all about preservation and channelizing your energy.

Step 30: Public Welcome:

Mantra: Om bhur bhuv swah shri jagadambaye avguntito bhavah yasay darshanam ichantidevah swabhishth sidhe tasme te parmeshaye swagatam swagatam chame. Om bhur bhuv swah shri jagadambaye suswagatam smarpyami

Mudra(Swagatam/Dhenu/Amaratikaran): To perform this mudra, we bring our palms together. The tip of the right index finger should touch the tip of the left middle finger and vice versa. The tip on the right ring finger should touch the tip of the left little finger and vice versa. Join both thumbs at their tips. Point it downwards.

Mudra Meaning: Smoothen the process of energy transfer. When you invoke the deity, bring him into your world, establish his energy in yours, initially this can cause ripples in your consciousness. Those ripples could be in the form of suppressed and negative emotions, or feelings of fear, despair or ego. This is one of the important step.

Mudra: Open your hands and face them upwards

Mudra Meaning: offering seat

Step 32: Greeting

Swagatam dev devesh mad bhagyatan iha gatah prakritam tum dhrista Maa balvat paripalyah

Om Bhur bhavah swah shri jagadambaye namah shri prarthnam  samarpyami namaskaromi

Mudra(Sakalikaran/Namaste): Join your palms next to your heart in the posture of namaste

Mudra Meaning: This is the act of merging your energy in the energy of the deity so you become one.
