I have been in love with Solan since 2015.  I, for the very first time, had passed through this small city while visiting  Sri Badrika Ashram in the year 2015.

On my recent stay of few days in Solan, quite a few life lessons came my way.  😊

While taking a stroll, I noticed few daily labourers doing work. I  just stopped and started chatting with them.  They were from Jharkhand State, working miles away for two times’ meals.  Why my  country can’t employ  them at their native place, I  wonder. 🤔

Anyways, the best part was watching them working so joyfully, full of energy.   A  toddler,  6-7 months old,  healthy, chubby and dark complexion, was lying nearby, over the pile of sand, playing happily.

Mountains of Solan, its curvy roads as also the structure of buildings  – everything is so different from Plains. 🥰

Next best thing happened when I met a family of Himachal. Even in day to day routine life, their hands seemed always busy in work, and hearts engrossed in helping whosoever need it. It was way higher and better than my RAKs or my using Black Lotus, I felt.

I have taken many years to learn just the a b c of spirituality, whereas the local residents here seem to be  born with all the higher lessons.

Here, unlike  metro cities, not concret but spiritual beauty is seen all around.

A few very minor inconveniences during rainy months are :

  • hundred of types of insects, all expert to sneak in the room.
  • Very big size cockroaches.

Over all, life here is so happening🥰

I have deeply experienced  the importance of a PLACE (स्थान ) in our journey.  Big Cities give us ample materialistic opportunities.  But the smaller ones, especially on hills near Himalaya, fulfill a major requisite of our  journey .

Everything about mountains is so magnetic and mesmerising.  Such experiences can best be felt and not read. Still, my this try to create a word-memory in my worldly journey in also an experience in itself 😊
