The words “Bless You” in an instant take you into a special comfort zone that is so very precious! These 2 words transform your vision and make you feel endowed with a blessing that your day is going to be good, filled with heavenly blessings ensuring you succeed in all your endeavors. Simple thoughts that fill you with a sense of security that you are bestowed with grace and favor and are in the protection of the Almighty God.
In our mundane routine we are all thirsting and looking at rewards and gratification at all we set out to do. We feel that if we are blessed by our gurus and elders our work will be successful and get appreciated. It is this little idea that makes even a young child look towards their elders and thereby seek their approval and blessings.
Sometimes a blessing comes in disguise and we do not realize its value immediately…as becoming attracted towards a divine guru who becomes a source of inspiration (OM SWAMI) or an elderly person who has the vision and experience to become your guide. Blessings give you the strength to take on the unknown …hoping and praying for the best. Oscar Wilde had rightly quoted, “What seems to us bitter trials are often blessings in disguise.”
So let us learn to embrace our blessings as they are all around us. We need to acknowledge our blessings and be grateful for what we have rather than only talk about our burdens and problems. Ralph Marston had rightfully asked, “What if you gave someone a gift, and they neglected to thank you for it – would you be likely to give them another?” Life is the same way, to attract more of the blessings that life has to offer, you must truly appreciate what you already have.
So let’s endeavor to count our blessings and not our troubles.
