Subham ji asked how to enable dark more or black theme on OS.me and with some research, could find a solution, so sharing it with all. I am a fan of the dark theme, so felt more may find it useful.

What is the dark mode or black theme

Light-on-dark colour scheme, also called black mode, dark mode, dark theme or night mode, is a colour scheme that uses light-coloured text, icons, and graphical user interface elements on a dark background.

This is easier on the eyes, and now can now spend more time on OS.me, and if you have any vision disabilities, it will help too.

This solution works on Chrome browser or Edge browser.   The solution is based on the guide here, which worked well.

Please note this option will force dark mode on all your sites, and you can NOT selectively select a site for dark mode.
If during the daytime you prefer the lighter ones, then you can do the reverse steps to switch.

Chrome or Edge Solution

  1. For Chrome: Go to  chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark
    For Edge: Go to edge://flags/#enable-force-dark
(copy-paste the link in new tab)
  2.  Now click on the drop-down and select the “Enabled” option.
  3. Click on the relaunch button at the bottom.

That is it, it will relaunch your browser and you can see your favourite OS.me in dark theme, and read more articles!!

How to reverse the changes?

a. Go to chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark or edge://flags/#enable-force-dark, and select the Default option.

Go ahead and try it out (at your risk).

DISCLAIMER: As Pratik Wadhwa ji shares, the above are experimental features of Chrome/Edge, and so please use them at your own risk.
