The Saffron hue of my master
Wherever I look,
All I see is Saffron
I went to gaze upon that Saffron hue
And myself turned totally Saffron

Whosoever’s soul you coloured,
How good was their fortune!
Today is the festival of colour, O Mother!
There is colour,
At my master’s abode,
There is colour!

My soul is polluted,
My soul is soiled,
Look, how the men and women laugh at me!
My master has coloured me saffron.

I’ve wandered, seeking,
From land to land,
Tunganath,
Badrinath,
Tirumala,
Sabarimala,
Your’s is the colour that has smitten my heart,
I have forgotten all else, mother
Such colour as his,
I have never seen it before,

O Mahatripursundari,
Mahamaheshwari,
MahaMahaRagyi,
MahaMahaShakthe,
MahaMahaGupte,
MahahMahaJnapte,
MahahMahaAnande,
MahaMahaSkande,
MahaMahaShaye,
O My Mother LalitAmbika
Whenever I look, he’s with me!

O Lamps of clay!
If you listen to what I say
Today is the festival of colour,
There is colour,
At my master’s abode,
There is  colour!
So stay awake, gleaming, throughout the night!
Such a colour I have never seen anywhere else!
I have never seen such a colour anywhere else!

Colour me in your own hue, Master!
Colour me in your own hue, Master!
Colour me, Saffron!
Colour me in your own hue, Master!
