Persistence guarantees that results are inevitable.” – Paramahansa Yogananda.

Going by the dictionary meaning, persistence is the quality that allows someone to continue doing something or trying to do something even though it is difficult or opposed by other people.

Thus, persistence is a trait which allows one to push through adversity, to keep moving in order to accomplish their tasks; to fulfill their dreams and to taste the fruit of success.

However, persistence doens’t work in isolation. First it requires Passion followed by Preperation. Then comes the Patience, Positivity and Persistence. One can not risk missing anything from this list and in this way, the Five P’s of Success work together to achieve any goal.

Out of these P’s I chose to write about Persistence because recently I have come across a beautiful poem written by Calvin Coolidge that I wanted to share here with you all.

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.

Talent will not;

Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

Genius will not;

Unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.

Education will not;

World is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence alone has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

Calvin Coolidge
