Swami Ji please share your thoughts on Stray Animals in India

Swami Ji Namaskar. I am not the smartest kid in the world. I feel lost these days, and I want to quit my job in Canada and come back home to India to help the stray animals in India, particularly in Punjab.  
I need some guidance if this is what I want or my mind is playing tricks, or I am just a lost soul. I am a seeker and seeking spiritual awakening and also want to make use of this body by helping animals. 
Please help clear my mind and help me find my life’s purpose. I am very hopeful that I will get clarity from Your Divine soul. 
I have been listening to spiritual gurus on youtube. The more I hear, the more confused  I become. 

This country doesn’t feel like home anymore, even though I have lived here for 15.5 years.
