If you are feeling stuck, rest assured you are not alone

Are you in a situation that is making you unhappy?

Are you lacking the motivation or extra push to help you create the changes you’d like to see in your life?

Are you  not even sure what it is that you want?

Yes, we have all being there at some point in our life. I certainly was and I know how disheartening it is to feel this way. Like a void, in the center of the chest that can’t be filled with food, or drinks, or shopping or google.

So, what’s the solution?
Let me share with you a simple practice that worked for me, and see how it can help you too.

1. Start by taking a look take at each area of your life.
These may include:

  • family,
  • friends,
  • health,
  • career,
  • finances,
  • physical location,
  • hobbies,
  • your love life

Determine on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) how you feel about each of these areas. After you determine which one has the lowest number, ask yourself,

  • What can I do to change the situation?
  • Is it within my power to change what is not serving me?
  • Is it something I need to accept, because there is no possibility of change? If this is your answer look more deeply that there is indeed no solution and make sure you are not having a “pity party” with yourself.

It is very important to appreciate where you are in life right now and to look at your current situation with kindness and gratitude.
I am sure you have overcome a lot of obstacles and you have come a long way, can you see that?

2. Try this simple exercise to get in touch with your heart, and discover a deeper version of you.

  • Find a comfortable seat and close the eyes
  • Take a few deep inhales and exhale and settle yourself in the pose you are in
  • Gently shift your awareness from your mind to your heart

This -chakra- energy center is about unconditional love, a powerful force that helps you get in touch with your feelings, emotions and channel them into bringing changes in your life. You can use this loving energy to free yourself from grief, sadness, fear, or to help bring clarity into your life.

  • Place your left hand on of your chest as you breathe deeply into this area
  • maintain your awareness on the in and out breath
  • let the right hand rest on your abdomen
  • acknowledge and accept any feelings you are experiencing at this moment, without judgment
  • practice kindness towards anything that may arise
  • relax a little more as you let the heart expand, loosening any blockages.
  • Now, ask yourself, and be honest with your answer,
“Am I surrounding myself with people who uplift me? Who root for me and the achievement of my goals/dreams?
Am I repeating the same old stories in my head that aren’t taking me anywhere because it feels comfortable and cozy to be there? Am I afraid of change?”
  • When you have found answers to these questions or when you are satisfied with the exercise, gently open the eyes and record your experience in your notebook.
You can always go back at look at what you wrote at a later time.

I hope this practice will help you bring clarity into your life. I know sometimes we find ourselves in situations that cannot be changed, because of where we live, the people in our life, society. If this is you, my heart goes out to you. I was once stuck as well, lived in despair and sadness. I found strength and courage to change through devotion and divine grace, that allowed me to create a new happier version of myself and a life I am in love with. I wish the same to you.

Here is a quote from Ekchart Tolle that might help you, “Accept each moment as if you had chosen it.”

May divine blessings come your way now and always.
