I resolve never to make any resolutions because all resolutions are restrictions for the future. All resolutions are imprisonments. If we decide today for tomorrow, we have destroyed tomorrow. We need to allow tomorrow to have its own being. Let it come in its own way! Let it bring its own gifts. Resolution is struggle. Resolution is ego. Resolution is saying, “I cannot live spontaneously.” And if we cannot live spontaneously, we don’t live at all — we only pretend. “So I will never make any resolutions. I will let life be a natural spontaneity.
True celebration cannot be according to the calendar, that on the 25th or 31 of December or on Diwali or Eid or Holi one will celebrate. Strange, the whole year one is miserable and on certain days one suddenly comes out of misery, dancing. And once the defined dates celebrations are done, we are back in our dark hole, everybody in his misery, everybody in his anxiety. Life should be a continuous celebration, a festival of lights the whole year round. Only then can one grow up, can blossom. Transform small things into celebration…. Everything that we do should be expressive of us; it should have our signature on it. Then life becomes a continuous celebration. When we are sick, call a doctor. But more important, call those who love us because there is no medicine more important than love. Call those who can create beauty, music, poetry around us because there is nothing that heals like a mood of celebration. Make everything creative, that’s what is called ‘THE ARTOF LIVING’ . Start with meditation, and things will go on growing in us — silence, serenity, blissfulness, sensitivity. Spirituality is a journey inwards, and meditation is the way. What meditation actually does is, it takes us, our consciousness, as deep as possible. Even our own body becomes something outside. Even our own mind becomes something outside
