A person who remembers Lord and every moment does pray
He is a form of Almighty, who lives everywhere night and day.
There is no difference between devotee and Lord, who sustains,
O Naanak, this is a truth that through time always remains.
Guru Ji in this verse bring forth an eternal truth, that when mind continuously think of God, a devotee assumes its characteristics, meaning that we become gentler in every aspect of our life. Our mind turns into a giving soul, and we are always at peace. When this achievement is attained, our mind will always forgive, knowing if someone erred, he or she did out of sheer ignorance or selfishness. So, Guru Ji advices us to be such devotee, whose mind is always in devotion at Lord’s feet and peaceful heart. Swami Ji is a living example in front of us. He is divine and bestows his grace and kindness upon us all, regardless of who we are.
With this knowledge comes a risk, that if we are not attentive we may become egoistic. We need to then remember that this knowledge is not an intellectual concept, but rather a truth that underlines the divinity of every individual soul, that we are all interconnected at the level of soul. And this wisdom blooms only if we are sincere and devout in our devotion of the Supreme Divine.
Pardon me all for this absence, got a little bit busy. I hope you all are good, even in these times.
Satnaam Sri Waheguru, Jai Sri Hari.
