                                                                  Part 2: Sri Suktam Sadhana

“oh, Hiranmayee!

thy grace,limitless

thy love, endless

thy mercy, boundless.

oh, Harini!

how else,

I, a minuscule,

receive thy grace, love, mercy in abundance

what else is it?

oh, padminim!

you gave Sanyasa, I said no

I stay bachelor, you said no

I say 365 days, you say 16 days

and you always win each time.

oh, Annapagaminim!

Like Eklavya

I meditate on those eyes,

which beheld your sublime form,

the two beloved child of yours

one, who bestowed initiation, &

the one, who bestowed divine blessing,

it’s just a matter of time,

I’ll behold you,

in me,

inside my mind’s eye,

what does it matter,

when yugas or mahayugas pass by,

as long as I remember you,

and sing thy glories.

oh, my Mahamayee!

Thy Maya, a hide and seek,

an endless maze,

but, not to one who recites,

your Suktam.

thy when seeked,

thy game is infinite, never-ending, but

when thy,

the seeker,

& I, the seeked

It’s game over isn’t it?

oh, Hemamalini!

I see them,

they see me,

but,

I see you,

through them,

Aren’t you in them?

oh, Padmamalini!

is it why?

they spend hours,

admiring themselves,

decking themselves,

because thy, verily seated in them,

thy, verily in each woman.

Oh, Narayani!

I am awaiting the moment

when thy anklet lotus feet

will rest, on my head

and set me free

Oh, Mrinmayee!”
