This happened this year in the month of March soon after Mahashivaratri..

Although settled in Bangalore, my family hails from a small town in North Karnataka and we visited it less often due to Dad’s office and our school/college..

After about 13yrs, I visited the town in 2019 to meet my Granny who was ill in her late 80 s. There is another small town close by which is famous for lineage of Yogis belonging to a mutt that has records of all forth coming events/incidents in the future, called Kalagyana.. Many devotees flock from near by cities and towns during festivals and Mahashivaratri being the major of all.. Their pleas have been answered, sick healed, life gotten better.. There was also an incident that took place during covid, I heard.. The yogi who is now present, assured the villagers that no untoward incidents would take place during his presence, it was proved right when none of  the villagers were affected by covid, life went on undisrupted, when the entire world was going through a chaos!!

Coming back to my meeting with him, I wanted to visit him when I was there in 2019. But, I think I wasn’t destined to receive his darshan back then and since I was there just for 4 days of visit to my granny, I had to return back to Bangalore, disappointed. My relatives often repeated, that meeting him is not easy and he hardly speaks to anyone and people wait for months and years to just get his glimpse! Having received this info, I was now sure that I definitely don’t stand any chance to meet him any sooner..

Fast forward to March 2022, I visited our town again and this time since I was there around Mahashivaratri time, I wished to test my luck.. I asked mom if we could visit him then, although she agreed, fate had other plans and mom fell ill just a day before our planned visit.. I was frustrated this time, although I told mom that it was okay, but I clearly was very unhappy.. Usually he is available for the public only on Mondays, that too just around Mahashivaratri and not any other time..

I take consultations on Sundays too, so Mondays I take an off..  So, come Monday, Mom was somewhat better but not completely.. and I was irritated that my Monday off would go waste and God knows what would happen next year Mahashivaratri if I do not get to see him now.. It was about 3 pm that afternoon on Monday, I couldn’t hold on and asked mom if she is feeling okay then we got to visit him right away.. My voice was stern and she sensed the frustration in my voice and she gave in after trying her luck to turn it down with various reasons. I stood my ground.

It was roughly an hour and half drive from our hometown and we finally started by 3:30pm.. We were informed that he would be available to public only between 11-1 that morning and 5-6 the same evening.. Our journey took longer than expected due to bad roads and reached there by 5:45pm just when people were returning back since the Yogi was to go back to his meditation.. People there, just looked at us and said” Rush soon, he is heading back to his meditation room”.. I again found myself questioning my destiny.. However I rushed to his visiting room, when I found one last family waiting to see him. No sooner I reached there, I and my family was immediately let in with the other family too..

It was our first visit and everybody wondered where we came from..As soon as we stood before him, he just looked at all of us and since one of his close disciple is our relative he introduced us to the Yogi and surprisingly he started the conversation asking about where we came from and what we did for our living. Soon mom prompted me to move forward and requested his blessings for me pointing at me, said” she is been suffering with health issues and things have gotten worse and we seek your blessings for her recovery along with the medications that she is already taking.”

He immediately looked at me and asked” what’s your Hb level beta?” I answered his question and then he immediately questioned me back asking, if I was practicing and also asked how I would treat my patients with such issues. I stood there looking at him silently and dad immediately interrupted,” Guruji, doctors are humans too!”  and quick came the answer” That’s right” said the Yogi..

He looked at me again for few seconds, as if he was reading me and put forth the question” Beta, what is wrong with you, please speak out.” Although I wanted to share what was going on, yet I wasn’t comfortable enough speaking it out in the presence of another family with us at that moment. I just kept looking at him, may be he read my mind and so asked again” Beta, you suffering from physical ailment or mental ailment(worries)?”

“Both” I replied..

He continued,” Beta, Physical ailment( I felt may be spoke of our karmas that we had to pay) you have to go through and coming to your worries, transfer 50% of it to me, I will take care of it.. another 50% you got to handle it.” Mom was overjoyed with his assurance and he gave me packet of Bhasma(Udi) and asked me to apply on my forehead everyday and also another two simple changes to be included in my daily routine. I agreed to follow..

Soon it was time for us to take leave and he again said” Please take some prasad and only then you leave.” We were directed to ashram kitchen.. I bowed to him again and said” Thank you, we shall leave.” He too folded his hands and said “Okay”

We had the prasad and we were ready to leave.. His close disciple accompanied us again and said, ” You guys are very lucky. He hardly speaks to anyone when people meet him, he just listens to their plea and offers them a packet of bhasma and they are good to leave. But in your case, I was amazed to see he speaking to you and also you received his darshan in no time, when people have waited for months to get in touch with him even the localities for that matter!! You are blessed”

Mom looked at me” your longing to receive his darshan has been fulfilled.” she added..

I nodded in affirmation and we soon left..
