Often when he hear something from people that disturbs or creates a ripple in our harmonious state our reflex response is ” Why did that person say such a thing to me “. This takes us on the victim path and we stay focused on the person who said it.
However, if f we can hold that moment and turn it inward to ” Why did I feel this way about what was said “, then we turn the moment into an opportunity to transform. We will learn about ourselves, get a deeper understanding and overcome. If not, then at the minimum we get an opportunity to practice letting go.
This can also happen when we have seen a movie, read a book , seen a news story etc etc. ..
We can let the first response pass, then be aware of the feeling and stay inward focussed on the why , it can reveal a lot of what we need to overcome.
